Hello Friends,
Boy Howdy am l tired! Way too tired to tell any tall tales about the trouble our four legged friends have been getting into.
The hubby and l had a long day of yard work on a project that involves 4 tons of gravel currently sitting in our driveway. Sadly we have not moved even one ounce of it yet. We did move a lot of dirt though. :-)
But let's get on with this weeks project before I do a face plant on to my keyboard.
Next weekend my family is getting together for what we call "fall birthdays." We have a hard time getting the whole crew together, so it would be impossible to celebrate all of the birthdays individually. Anyway due to the impending family gathering l find myself in need of a few gift bags.
Is it just me or do you also have a bunch of gift bags stashed away but you still never have the right sized bag with an appropriate design?
l am pretty sure that my family would forgive me for wrapping their birthday gifts in Christmas bags but l figured could recreate them.
I decided to use some leftover gray house paint.
Then I searched for some silhouettes shapes to use on the bags.
I used a glue stick to attach the artwork to a cardboard cereal box.
Then carefully cut out the shapes and painted them with some black paint.
To make shapes more three dimensional I added additional pieces of cardboard to backs of the cut outs.
And then glued the shapes to the bags.
Easy Peasy.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Upcycling,
