Hello All ,
Some of you maybe aware for a short time I was helping to host a linky party for upcycled crafts. To be completely honest I didn't really have to do anything but paste some code on my blog. Last November the original host decided not to run the linky party anymore. Since then I have been trying to think of a way for other folks to share their upcycled projects. It is not an official linky party but if you have an upcycled project or projects you would like to share on this blog please click the link below for more information.

And now on with this weeks project. This is a simple little project although it did take a little time and patience, mostly to cut up the CD's. The pieces need to be pretty small to fit on the tubes.
Cut the paper tubes to the desired size.
I had some silver tissue paper that I decided to use on the inside.
Use White glue to attach the tissue paper to the inside of the cardboard ring.
Fold the tube flat and glue the edges to the outside of the tube.
Once the glue dries, fold the tube in half the opposite direction to make the tube into a square shape.
Use hot glue to attach the cd pieces to the outside of the tube. Sorry I didn't get any photos of this step. It is a little time consuming and you need to custom cut some pieces to to fit. I also filled in the cracks with hot glue and because it was a bit messy I covered the whole thing with a thin layer of hot glue. To finish the the inside I brushed on a coat of polycrylic.
Happy Upcycling,
