Hi All,
I am rushing to get this post in today since it is already Monday. This weekend was the 2nd annual Palletfest in Denver Colorado. I missed it last year so I was quite excited to see it this year. It is a festival all about upcycling and sustainability.
I spent the early part of last week sewing some small coin purses for my sister at HFR Designs. Here are a few examples of things that I sewed together.
She makes some amazing designs from post consumer plastic bags and then sews the "fabric" into purses, totes and other accessories.
This is her booth where we spent most of Saturday and Sunday. The weather was beautiful hot and sunny.
I had a small section for my watch jewelry so guess I have participated in my first official craft sale.
There was lots of really cool stuff to do besides shop. They had a pallet maze, a live pallet build off and bands playing all day.
But the coolest part was the interview Heather had with a PBS show called "Urban Conversion."
I am still kind of worn out from it all but still looking forward to next year.
Happy Upcycling,
